We are delighted that your child will be joining Sir Bernard Lovell Academy in September 2024

At Sir Bernard Lovell Academy we understand that starting secondary school is an exciting time, and yet things may also be a little daunting for many students.  We work closely with our primary schools to make sure transition into Sir Bernard Lovell Academy is as smooth as possible.

Importantly, parents/carers should explore this section carefully as it comprises the welcome information which has been written to help smooth your child’s transition to SBL Academy.

SBL Academy has a well-established transition programme for children moving up from primary school.

As part of the transition process we gather lots of information about the students who are starting with us.  We talk to Year 6 teachers and Primary SENDCO's and will also meet all the children both at their primary school and again when the pupils come to SBL Academy for their  Transition Visit.

This information will help us prepare for your child's arrival and should be completed no later than Tuesday 14th May 2024
